Q+A

On this page, we've included the information we think you need to plan your trip with us. If you have any questions that aren't answered here, please don't hesitate to reach out to Nika (203-921-6034) or Misha (609-468-6789).

If you have questions or concerns around logistics, including local flights, lodging, getting to / from the airport, and booking an ATV, we recommend you get in touch with Rinata and her team at Pantera. You can Whatsapp them at +506 8591 9555.

See you soon!

HOW DO I GET THERE?

Rightfully, this is your first and most pressing question. For that reason, we've dedicated an entire page to it (see Travel).

HOW DO I GET AROUND?

For the most part, Santa Teresa is super walkable. You'll find most anywhere you'll want to go during your stay to be a walk along the beach away.

That said, one of our favorite features of the town has been the ubiquity of ATVs (yes, All-Terrain Vehicles). We recommend booking one a few weeks in advance, as inventory can be limited during the high tourist season. If you’re traveling with kids, we’d consider getting a 4-seater ATV (Polaris), or even a big golf cart.

Here are a few ATV vendors we've worked with during past trips: ATValerio's, Savannah ATV Tours, and Buggy Blue.

WHERE DO I STAY?

Most of the events surrounding our wedding will be held in Santa Teresa Beach. We strongly recommend our guests plan to stay in Santa Teresa proper (vs Mal Pais or Hermosa, which are a 15-20 minute ATV ride away).

The town has an incredible selection of boutique hotels and Airbnbs for any budget. Please let us know if you’re considering staying for the full week, as there are a few groups coming together to rent some of the larger villas.

If you opt to go the hotel route, some of our favorites are Hotel Nantipa, Playa Cielo, Florblanca, and Selina North.

WHAT DO I PACK?

The weather in Santa Teresa in March is dry and hot. Plan for long days on the beach in your bathing suit.

Outside of beachgoing, the lifestyle in Costa Rica demands lightweight clothing and comfortable footwear. For years now, Nika has packed at least a couple of pairs of heels with her to ST, only for them to stay the week in her suitcase.

If you plan to participate in activities like surfing, yoga, or hiking, plan accordingly.

WHAT DO I WEAR TO THE WEDDING?

We have several events as part of our wedding weekend. You can find details and attire for each of them on the home page of our website. For the wedding itself, we'll go into more detail here.

Don't hate us, but we're going with a color theme for the wedding. Please wear ~white (any light neutral is perfect). Here's a Pinterest board with some inspiration.

Women are welcome to wear dresses or skirts / pants. We're going to be on the beach, so any length will work, so long as you're comfortable.

Men, we don't recommend a jacket as it will be quite hot.

Sandals are ok :)
